Area Sales Manager MAC - Wallonia and Luxembourg

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirationalArea Sales ManagerWallonia & Luxembourg for Mac Cosmetics

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible to Drive Sales performance and Customer Service within his area. He is leading, coaching and developing a team of retail managers and is accountable for their performance. With them he defines the commercial strategy door by door, set the objectives and establish a calendar of retail animations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Retail Sales performance and achieve Retail Sales target for the entire area

  • Provide leadership to the teams in your region. Provide clear goals and expectations. Foster teamwork and team spirit.

  • Coach Managers on customer service, sales techniques and management to improve performance.

  • Analyse the business with helicopter view identifying areas for improvement and growth. Monitor commercial KPIs and Report in a timely manner

  • Deliver Retail Operations Excellence. Maintain excellent visual merchandizing and hygiene standards at all time.

  • Work in partnership with other departments (Education, Marketing) to execute the commercial strategy and retail marketing activities

  • With retail Partners: Work in partnership to find opportunities to animate the store, participate in Partner lead events / initiatives, leverage Partner space or media opportunities

  • Achieve Customer Service goals. Inspire, motivate and coach Retail Manager on all elements of Customer Service. Cultivate a superior service culture focusing on the customer as our #1 priority.

  • Conduct required performance reviews and regular team meetings.

  • Manage the progressive disciplinary process by proactively addressing poor performance, attendance or conduct issues.

  • Control application of Inventory Management procedures (ELC and/or Retailer’s), Manage loss prevention procedures and security policies, Complete all account and HR documentation accurately and on time


  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership

  • Strong analytics skills. Affinity with KPI management

  • Commercial and negotiation skills. Ability to motivate and ability to resolve conflicts

  • Autonomy, and self-organization. Ability to organize and prioritize

  • Self-motivation and resilience

  • People Management experience

  • Retail experience (must)

  • Previous experience as District Manager, Retail Manager, Regional sales manager is a plus

  • Passionate about Makeup/Cosmetic industry - you will be in daily contact with make-up artists

  • French speaking Knowledge of Dutch
